Daily Photos: Day 144

Friday (May 23rd) we got a late start because Ben woke up at 4:00 am and couldn't get back to sleep because he was so congested. After an hour of him asking me to help him blow his nose every 2 minutes I gave up and went to find a drugstore that was open all night. At about 6:30 he was able to fall asleep again. We left the hotel about 11:00.

We stopped for lunch at McDonald's so that the children could use the play area. Julee and I were impressed - everything had mesh so that the children couldn't fall from anywhere high.

Our short journey on Thursday helped us realize that we made the best time (and were less stressed) when all the children were sleeping. As we neared evening we approached New York and decided to keep going and make it through the big cities while we had some peace and quiet. We were glad we did. Some of the bridges were quite pretty all lit up at night, the traffic was light, and there were no cries of, "Mommy, Mommy!"
