Resemblances

It's easy for me to see Colin when I look at Ben, but harder for me to see myself when I look at Izzie.  However, here are two photos in which I see it!

2nd Grade Chapel Presentation

Izzie's class presented the battle of Jericho last Friday at chapel.

Izzie: (examining a Korean 10 won coin)  Wow!  This coin is really old!  It's from the 1970's!

Me:  I hate to tell you, Izzie, but Dad and I were born in the 1970's.

Izzie:  (gazes at me mouth open in disbelief)

The kids are old enough now to be fairly cooperative if I bribe them with candy,  however they're also in the stage where I can't ask them to smile or they present an awkward grimace that looks like they're trying to happily swallow a bug.  We tried to go to a park and take these, but it was Children's Day, and every other parent seemed to be there with their children, so instead we found a spot under a bridge - the only shady spot to be found!

And just to bring back some memories...

I wonder how long they are going to let me keep doing this?
