We visited a farm where the children could pet and feed some animals. Ben and Sam were thoroughly prepared, after all the verses of Old MacDonald we had sung during our 24 hours of driving to Canada.
There were two beautiful horses.
Ben fed the goats. Sam didn't want to get too close to them...
which was reasonable, considering how pushy they were!

There was also a playground with this funny mural. Chris was as excited about investigating an old tractor as the children were about using the playground equipment.
After lunch we drove to Peggy's Cove. 
This sign greeted us at the lighthouse. 
We had to abort our trek across the rocks in favour of a path more travelled.
Around the lighthouse it was even windier than down on the rocks. We snapped a few pictures and then ran away.
Deceptively serene looking, isn't it?
