After getting up and eating breakfast we decided to all get haircuts, so we piled into the car and headed out. Sam got his done first (his first real haircut!) and then it was Ben's turn. He was rather reluctant, so I went next. Sometime during my cut a stylist was able to successfully lure Ben into her chair with a portable game. Julee went last, and Izzie... well, let's just say it will be quite a while before she needs a haircut.
We had big plans for the weekend: Mom got off work early and we left to catch the ferry to my grandparent's place. I had told Ben that when Grandma got home we would go on a boat, and as soon as she walked in the door he ran down to the basement and said, "Now go on the boat?"
Ben liked watching the front of the ferry open up to let the big trucks board.
The boys loved the boat. Ben got a little upset when we had to drive the car off it.
Ben took everything in.

Our destination is in sight!
The lighthouse on my grandparent's property.
We didn't go down to the water the first day because it was late when we got there, but there was a great sunset and I got to experiment with sillhouettes... This is Julee and Sam, Ben, Mom and Izzie.

Ben is having so many new experiences this summer! And speaking in sentences--way to go Ben. I love the sillhouette shot. It would make a great book cover for the book you could write Nat.
Love to you all,
Grandma Ann
A lighthouse, how neat! You know me and my love for history and old things. Sounds like a great summer.
